The International Combat Organisation held the first German International Open in Kelkheim, Frankfurt, Germany and was a great success. Five students from Bridgend Warriors took part representing the KMA Welsh Kickboxing Team with considerable success .
First to fight in the points section was Paige Lewis who
tried but was unable to advance in the category this time, but her sister Tia and Morgan Paget went on to recieve a Bronze each. In the Light Contact division Morgan won Gold with Tia taking the Bronze, both girls were dominant in this form of fighting.
Lee Todd and James Morgan along with Rob Taylor fought as the Senior Welsh Team in a marathon event that lasted 6 hours to completion, Wales won Gold with Lee overturning a 5 point deficit to narrowly win an exciting bout by 1 point. Lee went on to win his individual division out perfoming a talented German fighter who was lucky to edge James Morgan into Bronze position in a very close high scoring fight. Well done to all our fighters you did the Warriors, the KMA and Wales PROUD.
